"Team-teaching" is the key phrase for the fourth, fifth, and sixth grades. Splitting the curriculum between two teachers will enable each to focus on specific subjects; thus eliminating the necessity for combination classes. This allows for more focused preparation and instruction to enhance the education of the children.
Mrs. Pfister, will be specializing in math and language for each grade. In addition, she will have a spelling group, a reading group, and will over-see penmanship which will be scheduled as independent study.
Mr. Davis will be specializing in history, science and health curriculums for each grade. In addition, he will have a spelling group, reading group and will over-see the Bible curriculum which will be scheduled as independent study. To keep learning fun, we'll have spelling bees, math speed races, special activities (like our scavenger hunt), and field trips. Basic classroom structure and activities will remain an integral part of your child's education, with math, spelling, and reading homework every night. In addition, classwork not finished during the day will need to be completed and returned so your child does not fall behind.
"teachers, to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up in unity, faith and knowledge" Ephesians 4:11-13 (NIV)
